Any other mummy's have a child around the age of 16 months and just doesn't listen to you? I tell him no, shout at him and he just laughs when he knows he shouldn't be doing what he's doing even when other people in my family tell him of he doesn't listen he carries on, I've tried the naughty corner that doesn't work, he bites and he thinks it's funny, any ways of getting him to listen and stop when he's told? Or is it just his age?

Maya does this...but she isnt what I would call naughty :) I think all children do this...they know what you are saying but like to test the waters lol 😂😂 Maya has selective hearing...she is very sneaky in achieving what she wants :) Some behaviour unless they are really putting themselves in danger you have to ignore...Or say No...take them away from whatever it is and distract them with something else 😘 xx

@winterbaby95 glad I'm not on my own then haha, it gets so hard work, he has loads of toys but decides to get up to mischief instead 😂 feel like he's in terrible 2's already, he's hard work at the moment but wouldn't change him for the world ❤

this sounds like lewis😩🙈 he turned one in february, i think this is normal behaviour tho. they just challenge everything to see how much they can get away with i think!! i try to avoid using the word 'no' and use phrases instead like 'we don't touch that' etc, but try to keep it similar with the same slightly more cross tone so he knows when he's up to no good🙈 i usually give him three chances then i'll move him away from the area. he's starting to listen now but depending on his mood he will still laugh and ignore me at times😂 also with biting try not to react to it, lewis will pull my hair deliberately sometimes and i found if i don't acknowledge him when he's doing it he will just give up and leave me alone hahaha they love to get a reaction from things, little pests😂🙈 xx

It is an age thing! 16months is very young & unless your very very lucky they will rarely listen to you! 😂 You can still implement boundaries, then just be consistent with following them through. I've always thought it was terrible 1s more than terrible 2s lol
