I've been debating on whether I want to invite my sons father to his baptism and first birthday party... We barely speak these days with the custody battle going on and I personally don't like him for putting me through all this crap. But we are going to have to learn to co parent and be civil again. I just don't want to invite him and him be awkward and not happy and show no emotions toward his son and make me regret inviting him. His baptism will probably be next month though and I can't see us being nice by then. But maybe by the time our custody is situated I'll be more willing to make nice after that. I'm to nice and kind hearted for my own good. But this is my sons father and we are unfortunately stuck with each other in a sense forever so mine as well try to co parent civilly together as difficult as he is to deal with and especially since he is so detached from my son and it bothers me that he's just like fake and there's no genuinity there.

I already told my lawyer I didn't want him at the baptism and I wanted him the religion my family is. So he can't even use it against me. By the time my son turns 1 we may have made nice by then. I just feel bad for his parents even though I really don't like his mother, they lose out because of there son. I personally don't want my sons dad hanging around especially if he's going to be awkward and detached from his son like he already is. Like he can go do his own thing with him for his birthday. My parents never did birthdays together with us twins just cause we were babies. He already said in court last week he's uncomfortable being here ( I'm uncomfortable too) so I just question on if I should even bother even if we do make nice with eachother by then @eryka616,
