I'm also family oriented and my husband talks to his family every blue moon. When we lived back home my family would always had bbqs and it was hard to get him to go😐and seriously ever since we moved (his family lives here) we rarely get to see them😒

Yes. Mine is like this. Hates talking to his parents. I talk to both of mine everyday. Hates family gatherings. Lol I go to everyone of our family get togethers, he comes to Christmas & Thanksgiving. Never goes to his family's. In fact I spent this Easter at his family gathering & he didn't even go.

@aubeysmommy, ugh why are they like that . I also need to practically beg my husband to attend family gatherings. It kind of hurts me because whenever he wants to do something with his (which is rarely) I'm always up for it .

@lifewithlynniejade88, yep yep yep! Mine too, he comes to the big holidays . And even then he'd be happier if it was just us three. Which I don't mind but I'm super close to my family and I'd love for us ALL to do things together . And know that he genuinely wanted to be there .
