Mommies i need your help! This is from Ava sucking her thumb.. do you have and ideas about how to get rid of and avoid this? I cant get her to stop sucking it and she rips off mittens if i put them on her. Its not hurting or bothering her but it looks like its going to start cracking soon. Ive been putting lanolin on it today..

My daughter gets the same thing from sucking her thumb. I can't get her to stop and I usually just put some lotion or hydrocortisone cream on it frequently. Eventually she will tell me when it hurts and she'll stop sucking it until it heals then she's back at it again. I have to wait until it hurts though so she doesn't digest the cream or lotion.
