So the preemie doctors said to not start jace on baby food until June when he's 6 months old. That he shouldn't be able to sit up well enough to eat baby food yet. The pediatrician said there is no reason he shouldn't be able to eat it yet. So she said I can start giving him foods now!

A baby's gut is still sooo sensitive at 4 months. & your child is a preemie I'm assuming? so ya, that's super early lol. I gave my son small bites of baby food at 6 months & he had severe reactions that landed us in the hospital. All specialists we've seen have said not all children are able to tolerate solids even at 6 months... but if you wanna rush then that's your choice 🙃

Well he has been given the okay and he's 4 months adjusted. There is nothing wrong with giving them food at 4 months. Some are even given the okay sooner than that. So yeah it is my choice especially when a DOCTOR! has given the okay. Bye. @mrssanderson

@mrssanderson, it's correct. And as i am a preemie mom I've always waited to her adjusted age to give her food (6 months ) It's for the better a lot of normal doctors aren't educated on preemies sadly nd give off the wrong advice

I'm not a first time mom nor is this my first preemie. I know what is behind and what is necessary when it comes to feeding preemies. I know what is best for my kids and I will do that with the advice from his doctor and not the preemie doctor. He is only needing to go to them because he was in the nicu. He has no other issues that have held him back. Thank you for your input but I know what I'm doing. I will not harm my son. @amaperalta03 @mrssanderson

@ssdj4, I gave my daughter baby food at 4 months and she was born 4 weeks early. I think 4 months is fine. You do what you know best for your son.

Okay ladies, this isn't something to get sassy about lol! @ssdj4, you do what you feel is best and if baby has any bad reactions to it then just stop for a little while! Babies have different reactions. They recommend to not give baby cereal for 6 months but my son was having it in his bottle since he was a month old because he has always been a hungry baby!
