Is it normal for the umbilical cord to bleed a little bit? My discharge papers said to call if it was bleeding or had any discharge so I wasn't sure. It's not red or anything around it, and she's almost 2 weeks old.

Really gross, really considered not even asking this but last night and this morning I had really boogery/mucousy discharge and light red bleeding..is this something I should be worried about...they keep telling me the bleeding is normal but never had it with this gross discharge before.

I'd call dr she might have just snagged it but better safe than sorry
