Is it healthy to let your baby watch tv??....How much should they watch??
How old? When my daughter turned 6 months, she would watch an hour a day. But we always had the tv on before that so she was accustomed to her surroundings. Word Party isn't bad. BabyFirst had a lot of shows on Hulu and my daughter was crazy about those shows.
It just depends on your child. They need to get used to things going on around them as well. So for something like my son, and the tv is almost always on for noise - he could care less unless it's Blues Clues, but even after a couple minutes he would rather play with his toys.
While the SCREEN itself isn't the best for children, television won't hurt your child.
@beebaby @allyk.xmommy Just wondering....my husband and I were talking this morning, and he was saying having her watch too much tv isn't good. She only watch it in the morning or if I'm trying to get something done around the house.
I keep the t.v. on, but it's mostly for me lol. Isabelle's pretty independent and likes to play on her own most of the time, so while she's awake I usually just watch a show and keep an eye on her. I can put a show on for her, but she won't watch it.
Everyone will have a different answer. For me I didn't really have tv on for my son untill he was like 5 or 6 months old. And it was Netflix so I could control what he saw. Little Einsteins, octonots, stuff like that. I let him watch it while I got breakfast ready, or before a nap, or while doing things around the house but it's never been all day everyday. Not even now. He will watch a movie, then I'll shut it off and give him toys, or we will go outside, then eat lunch, watch cartoons till he falls asleep, then after dinner he will watch a movie till he falls asleep
@mommabearxo she's 8 months
