Did anyones pediatrician advise them to start weening off bottle & formula at 9 months? My daughter isn't finishing her bottles & now, needs to be eating solids at meal times with formula to wash it down....at her 9 month appt next month, he told us that we will talk eventually weening her off formula. She shouldn't be drinking as much now & eating more solids...Make sense???

We did 24 oz of formula and three jars of baby food a day which is what dr and different articles online recommend and we added some water in between but I could see weening off formula at 12 months we did it three weeks early but my son was starting to have issues with formula and dr didn't want to change it just for three weeks

Our doctor told me the same thing my son isn't doing well with solids and she told me to ween him the boob since he's breastfed but I refuse to listen

They need that formula until atleast 1 y.o. don't take her off of it! Maybe you should get another pedi's advice to help your decision

@cubanese @lifeasmommy I am not taking her off the formula...i know its her main source of nutrition until she is 1. I won't do that to my child. I know she needs it. But i also need to feed her food more often. I usually do it 2x a day...sometimes 3 if im lucky. I take her to work with me so its hard especially when she sleeps when she should be eating.
