I have a question for moms with older kids. I want to apply for childcare but idk if my 12 year old daughter almost 13 has to be in child care. Some people says she's too big and some others says she can't stay alone in the house. So idk what should i do. Do I have to apply only for my 8 year old daughter and my little one or the 3 of them?

@mommysbabies, she's very responsible and is more mature than any of her age . She also told me she doesn't mind staying alone
Well I'll see cuz I don't want her to just be on the phone and that's all she does if I'm not near her
If she is responsible enough I wouldn't see why not as long as she knows don't open the door for strangers don't use oven or stove keep doors locked and has a way to communicate with you
@mommysbabies, yeah I see some kids they walk alone even some that are like 8 years old they walk alone. You're right it's a matter of opinion
@amaperalta03, I talked to her about that and been trying to engage her in hobbies but she doesn't like anything. She hates sports,arts etc. She doesn't like to do anything and she hates been around people 😐
Yeah we walked a main road it was just down the st it was like a 30 minute walk my mom worked an hour away so me another girl and our two guy friends would all walk home together we lived to close to qualify for a buss we were like a mile away
@mommysbabies, oh wow I pick my girl everyday from the bus stop. She has never walked alone . I guess I got used to go and I feel frightening just to think someone is gonna be following her
I think it's all a matter of personal opinion I know I was allowed to stay home alone when I was in 6th grade I was also allowed to walk to school with friends
