For those of you that have watched the 13 reasons why show. Do not let it upset you. The book was never intended for tears. That was not what the author wanted. Thank you @skyy12221 for telling me how the show went/ended. Im more disappointed in the people that made the show than i am Disney for screwing up the Star Wars series. Anyway, ill tell you why.

In the book, it ended quit diffrently. There was no 14th tape, and no court meeting of any kind. Yes she killed herself in the same way. In the book however, the guy that you follow through out the story thats listening to the tapes is the 12th reason why. Even though in the recordings she states, "you never did anything wrong. You were one of the only ones that was nice to me. Im sorry i had to include you in this" She also had a back up plan for if the tapes didnt make it to everyone. Thats the reason why everyone actually listened to them and gave them to the next person. Though i cant remember exactly what it was, i do know she stated it at the begining of the first tape. Heres the next thing. Yes she did get raped by that one guy. There was no creepy photographer that i remember in this book. None at all. That was added in the show. Next, and the last thing. The 13th tape was about the school conselor. Also the 13th tape was the main reason why she ended her life.

There was a very important message the author was trying to send. It got lost in the TV show. Thats why it has me bent up. This book was part of why i kept pushing forward, and why i started opening up to everyone, even strangers. The 13th reason why, a single person couldve prevented it all. I wont tell you how the book ended because i want everyone to read it and see the diffrence. However i will tell you the message. The message was:

Go to someone and talk to them. Also when someone comes to talk to you listen. They came to you for a reason. They trusted you, you were all they had to turn to. Blow them off and then, never knowing how much help they needed, once you realize why they came to you, you alone will have to deal with the guilt of what happened. A single person can save someone. All it takes is listening.

Now that you know the message, please go read the book. Im upset with the producers on this one. I want everyone to read the original story. Itll leave you in a diffrent sense than the show did.

(Commiting suicide is showing your to weak to handle life. However, in this book she felt that it was the only way she could get someone to listen.)
