Doctors appointment today might switch back to the birth control pill not really sure yet because the iud sucks but…

I had horrible cramps with copper iud and birthed it out twice. Mirena I lost half of my hair and had a period the whole time. Both I had migraines and horrible birth like cramping.

I hope you find relief mama. Don't let them tell you "it will get better with time" if you honestly feel it isn't right for you. I waited too long and went through unnecessary pain for years.

@dhamiphoenix Yeah i got the newer version of Mirena which is Liletta and its been giving me horrible cramps and migraines that wont go away...I would do the pill but idk im very forgetful..:/

And my mood swings are horrible as well.

I'd try the pill and set your phone alarms. Keep the pack with you.

I set two or three alarms since I take the mini pill and have for years

@dhamiphoenix Yeah im going to talk it over with my doctor and see what she thinks it could just be my body getting used to it but idk. Did it hurt when they took your iud out? Because mine hurt like HELL getting it put in

First time no but the last time it got stuck and she had to tug it out. Her face looked worried and I was allowed to lay in the room for a while. I stayed for 30 extra minutes and they gave me a shot of anti inflammatory and pain med. it sucked. But that was the copper iud I felt like my body was birthing a burning baby head.

The other two we fine coming out. A little pain but nothing bad.

@dhamiphoenix Yikes....that sounds just as scary as them putting it in...but i heard the copper iud is bigger then the Liletta cause that one is 3 years. But who knows everyone is different.

But i need to mention this to my doctor because now im having really bad pain on my right lower abdomen side and its going down my right leg as well kinda how i felt when i was pregnant.
