My First Baby

Alesana has latched on perfectly and we have been working together well. She is being fed 20 minutes on each breast and is a healthy baby and I'm strictly breastfeeding her only.

There is a hole in her heart the doctors said isn't severe but they are keeping her in the nursery in case if anything happens. The hole should close up on its own eventually.

She is so small! 7lbs 6oz of cuteness. I honestly started crying my eyes out once I held her in my arms and couldn't stop crying. Every time she's done feeding and I burp her, we end up snuggling for an hour and a half before I go back into my room for sleep.

I am very swollen inside my lady region to where I cannot pee so I'm stuck on the Catheter until I'm no longer swollen. I'm pretty bruised down there as well. I've been in labor since 4 a.m and she was born at 1:39p.m - well worth it! Later on in the morning I should have her in my room instead of the nursery depending on how well she is doing on her own. I honestly cannot get enough of her. The nurses keep demanding me to wait when it's time to feed her and that I need to be taken care of first. I can't help it - I want to tend to my baby girl! The first few times they rolled me into the nursery I started crying instantly at the sight of my true happiness. Ladies, we are truly blessed with a precious gift of life we care for as our child(ren). I'm so happy to have this little angel of mine! I'm still so emotional!
