Any moms have/had a IUD thinking of getting one but I'm scared of BC (never been on it) but me n my husband don't want anymore kids so I feel I need to protect myself cause just condoms is not going to work!
It does have hormones.. but I don't feel like it has made any changes to my mood
I havent had a period since it was placed.
Of course every ones body will react differently but, it's not a pill that you have to remember to take and another plus it doesn't make you gain weight
I've had the Mirena twice. After my first son I had it for a year and then after my youngest son I've had it for 4 years now. I love it. I actually don't even get a period anumore. I get cramps from time to time but it's nothing too bad. Highly recommended!
Yeah Mirena does hormones. @luvmyboys, I had a friend who got the copper IUD and had a bad reaction to it. I'm not sure if it was the hormones or what but it made her get crazy mood swings! She eventually decided to take it out and went back to her NuvaRing.
Oh I'm not good with taking pills and I don't like getting poke plus at my 6week check up whit baby #3 my ob like I think the IUD is best for you 😂😂 he had brochures and DVDs ready for me to look at (hes more like a dad then a ob lol love him) @luvmyboys and my husband talk big game Luke yea I'll get snipped but when I had a serious conversation about it you would've thought I said some off the wall stuff! 😂😂
Looking into birth control options as well. I've been on the pill and depo shot and hated both. I was really wanting to try the copper IUD, but I'm a bit scared.
Still trying to convince my husband to get snipped!
I've had my Mirena for 6 years - ever since I had my daughter. I just had it replaced last year and had my usual exam and everything was fine. I haven't had any problems with it (knock on wood!).
I've had the mirena a little over 5 years I recently went to get a new one placed a couple months ago.. it's definitely my favorite form of birth control .. 🤗
I havent had a period since it was placed.
