What are the pros and cons of introducing a pacifier at 2 weeks old?
She latches and nurses fine. I am not worried about nipple confusion.
My main concerns are,
-How to prevent a dependency?
-For how long and how often do you allow them to use the pacifier in one sitting?
-If she has the pacifier, how do you know if she wants to nurse?

My son had one from newborn stage and it was a lifesaver never had confusion and breastfed til almost 3yrs gave up binkie on his own at 3.5 and just had a 100% perfect dental check up. He used it when he needed to (which was less as he got older). Some kids just need the comfort that comes from chewing/sucking motion. He not con I ever had was binkies get lost so easy you'll have 20 by the time your done haha.

She most likely won't take binkie while wanting to nurse so if she spits it out over and over she's hungry 😋
