I choose not to get them done... I want my daughter to choose to have them done when she's ready, and to understand that sometimes to get the things you want, you have to go through a little pain and discomfort... plus I'd like her to be old enough and responsible enough to be able to properly care for them... I feel like it should be her choice not mine... but I don't look down on mommy's that get their babies ears pierced... just do what you think is best for you!

When I was pregnant, we always talked about getting our sons ears pierced when he was old enough. Once he was born & was 3 months old, I changed my mind. I knew my SO wanted them done so I finally gave in and we got his ears pierced after he turned one. He did the long silent cry for a couple seconds then was all better after. He's almost 3 and he loves them.

I know a lot of people get their children's ears pierced with no problem at places like Claire's...but you're not supposed to pierce ears with a gun, and instead go to a piercing shop, or piercing and tattoo studio. Piercing guns cause trauma to the ear and aren't reliable (you don't want to have the kid that has that machine go awry on 😳😩) I'd call a local shop and ask what age they have to be, but I don't think they'll pierce infants/young adolescents due to risks of infection, etc. I could be wrong though! Whatever ever works for yous! That'll still be fun and exciting even for 7! If she's not allergic to cheap earrings you can take her to Claire's to pick some out!

Got my daughters at 3m shes fine and theyre too. She cried for 2 sec. That's it

@rawwrdinoox, I decided I would wait to get my daughter's done until she's older. I'll make it into a mother daughter day just like my mom did for me when I was 7.

I had mine done when I was a year and a half maybe two and I ripped mine out and got an infection from rubbing. I would suggest getting it done earlier before they can play with them or later when they're old enough to know not to touch them and clean them. Each to their own though on this topic, I will be getting my daughter's when she's a few months old, it's my families as well as hubbies traditions

I have boys so that's nothing I've had to worry with yet. I don't know if I'd have my daughters ears pierced. Probably though. I think it's better to have it done when they're not old enough to remember how bad it stings. It's done & over with

@madismommy, My daughter screams bloody murder whenever she gets her shots 😭 not so much for her 2 month shots but her 4 month was the worst.

@melindaleigh123, Thank you. Part of me is just worried she might pull at her ears afterwards which may cause problems. I asked some of my friends who had their babies ears pierced, they said theirs were fine. But then again, every baby is different.

I really wanna get my daughters done but she Cry's so hard when she gets her shots so I know she's gonna cry when I get her ears done and were gonna be in the middle of the mall so I'm kinda scared ! I'm eventually gonna get it done I just have to figure out a way to get her out of the mall fast enough into the car so I can feed her lol @mamabear324

We're getting our daughter's ears pierced soon. She's 2mos old. My 8yr old just got hers done, but thats because her dad (my ex) was controlling and wouldn't let me. I think the earlier the better and if she doesn't want to wear earrings then she can when she gets to that age. I had mine pierced at 8 weeks old and i can see how it would be easier which is why i'm doing it with my younger daughter

I feel like to each their own on this topic. If you want your babies ears pierced do it. If you don't, then don't. Don't take advice from anyone regarding your baby. Mom knows best. Do what you feel is right
