They induced me at 38 weeks because of it.

@susancarder did you have to take insulin at all because of it ? And how did they come to that decision? I'm gonna see my obgyn tomorrow but I just wanted to get some imput aswell

They knew because I also had chronic hypertension prior to pregnancy and because the size of my son.

I was able to keep my sugar levels under control from diet alone but some women do need to be put on insulin.

@susancarder well i was just curious cause when they measure my stomach i seem to only be a 1 week ahead but when they did an ultrasound on Monday they said his belly was measuring a bit bigger then babies at this gestation so I just wondered if thats not really a big deal as long as i dont have any other issues

No you're fine I just commented like a million times in a row lol. But yeah I'm not sure if it's only the stomach measuring larger. My son over all was much larger. When I was 35 weeks he was measuring the size of a 40 week baby. His head circumference, limbs, stomach, and measurement from his head to tailbone were all larger. Have you been diagnosed with GD?

@susancarder Oh okay i see and yea i had it with my last pregnancy aswell but I was induced at 35weeks with her because I had pre-eclampsia ive been able to control my levels with diet this pregnancy just like my first pregnancy but i was just curious i would prefer not to have another baby come early lol
