🤔🤔🤔 People bragging about how their 3-6 week old sleeps through the night. That's nothing to brag about - that child…

My son was still waking up at night for bottles until like five months. 3 week olds should not be sleeping through the night. Totally agree

@ecahanes, my daughter is nearly two and still wakes up twice a night to be rocked back to sleep. Our pediatrician said they some kids are just restless sleepers. It's definitely not a one-size-fits-all type of deal. Haha!

I had to wake up my son every 2-3 hrs to eat when he was a newborn! People said let him sleep, he will wake up when he gets hungry. Im like nope! I was paranoid constantly checking if he's breathing lol but now hes 18 mos and started waking up for a bottle! 😔😔😔

Ya no my son does not sleep good either lol usually 3-4 times a week I get up and rock him too 😂 I still rock him though and I love it

Caleighas dr always said because she wasn't jaundice and she was gaining IF she didn't wake through the night it would be okay. But even now she wakes up anywhere between 2-5 times a night to nurse back to sleep

What do you consider "through the night"? I'd say it could vary anywhere from 5 hours to like 12 lol. At my 6 week appointment my doctor told me if my daughter slept "thru the night" (a 5ish hour stretch on her own) that she would be fine... she's a super healthy happy almost 5 year old now and is really comfortable with bedtime/nap time. She puts herself down when she gets tired, and can soothe herself back to sleep after waking up in the night. I still check on her. And she knows that if she's can't go back to sleep she just gets me. But she's able to read her own bodies cues as far as her sleep cycle is concerned. I wouldn't necessarily bash on the mommies that have been told it's ok for their new LO to sleep thru the night. Like you said, each child is different, each parent is different, each doctor will give different advice. There's a big difference between a child that's thriving and sleeping soundly and a child that's being neglected and I highly doubt anyone is on here bragging like "oh my newborn sleeps thru the night" (but really they're just watching them waste away or something ). Also to the moms who's babies don't sleep, y'all aren't alone either! Why do you think there's so many memes about new moms being all haggard and busted lol 😂 that's just part of mommy hood, we're all in it together. Both my kids always slept threw the night since birth my son was 10lb when he was born so dr said it's not nessary he's a big boy same with my daughter they always woke up when they were hungry and my boob was right their ! I never like the whole waking up a baby every two hours I always felt like that's already training them to wake up so often and never keep sleeping which is wha babies need lots of sleep ! But with premie babies I understand because u have to get their waight up but for a good size baby hey if they wanna sleep let them

@megsandbabes, oh girl, I totally get ya, and that's what I'm agreeing to. I actually saw someone on here talking about how their 7 week old sleeps 9-11hours at a time. And that the moms with restless babies are just doing it wrong. And then shortly after I saw a lady saying her 11 day old is sleeping 7 hours at a time and how she's just "doing it right.". I wanted to step in and let others know that that - In fact - is NOT the norm.

Ohhhhh well my fault then for not knowing all the facts. I wasn't trying to be rude, I'm glad we are all on the same page ;)
