No you usually have one in the beginning to confirm pregnancy an how far along the baby is. Another one at around 20 ish weeks for gender an the anatomy to make sure everything is okay. An then usually that's all unless their is complications like less movement , something showing up on the anatomy scan etc.

Only time they gice u more is if your high risk or having twins.

Most insurance companies only cover 3 unless your doctor feels you need to be monitored more. We had an emergency one at 9 weeks due to a scare, one at 12weeks, one at 18 weeks for the gender, and then at around 33 weeks I had to get them weekly bc she was measuring extremely small.

U usually get 3 and then no more after that.... the last one is when u find out the gender of the baby.. I'm going on the 12th to get my last altrasound and to find out the gender! I'm super excited!

There are places that do 2, 3 and 4D ultrasounds if you're willing to pay for them. That's how I've gotten extra haha 🤗 luckily I didn't wait for my 20 week to find sex because he didn't wanna show anything! So I'm happy I paid at 16 weeks
