My baby is five days old. I'm pretty much scared to get any sleep because im afraid I won't wake up…

Is she in the same room? Most moms will definitely wake up if their baby makes the slightest sound. Just try to relax. It's gets easier. I was the same when my son was a newborn

She is. But she's having so much trouble keeping her food down that sometimes spits it up even half an hour later after eating and im afraid she could wake up and choke or something. I always check if she's breathing I feel like a spazz. Lol

We have what's called a Snuza, it's to help prevent SIDs, it clips on the diaper and you can set it to make a slight clicking noise every time they breathe... it gave me peace of mind, I would start to wake up, hear it clicking away, and know she was fine, never had to fully wake up to check on her... it was AMAZING! We need to get another (my daughter tossed hers in the toilet at about 18 mo! 😓), and are also looking at the Owlet monitor, but I'm not sure that it has that feature... and that really helped me get more sleep! We have bought one for as a gift for everyone we know who has had a baby!

I set alarms in the beginning to wake up every 2 hours but soon realized I woke up regardless when baby moved or took any breath differently lol. You'll calm down and wake when they wake. I used to check every 20 min to see if my little one was breathing. Sometimes waking him up in the process. He use to snore which put me at ease cause I could hear him breathing too

That's what I do but I can't seem to sleep still lol
