Do you like it I know it a lot if pros and cons? As far as the amount of work you put in vs the pay. Teaching elementary was my second career choice growing up and now that i will be a mother soon I think the schedule would be great. @momtobetobabyc, @adensmommy2014,
The pros to teaching are simple. You'll love watching your students learn and grow, there is still innocence and genuineness there, and you'll always be entertained. Like there is never a dull moment. I teach special education and though there are days where I say I'm not coming back, I could never see myself just leaving. The work hours go far beyond the classroom. There are meetings, lesson plans to be made, maybe tutoring, papers to be graded but you can do it. And as for the compensation, depending on where you live, it could actually be a good decision. We don't make a lot but there are good benefits and a lot of times we get discounts for certain places! Hope this helps!
