My babys heart rate was 136 yesterday. I weighed 146lbs. My glucose test came back normal. Everyone says im small for 28 weeks. So my measurements may be alittle off, im not sure. My doctor didnt say the measurements were weird. The babys getting more active, but still doesnt kick me really hard so im able to sleep. Actually ive found feeling my baby move helps me relax to sleep. The weeks until our baby gets here are closing in fast, but some how it feels like its taking so long now right here at the end.
We started talking about birth control for after the birth. I know i need to be on it, because otherwise wed have 2 kids under 3 and id have to be a stay at home mom (no offense to yall just mine and my husbands financail situation wouldnt approve of me doing that) so i need to be able to work even with 2 kids. (We plan on giving this one a sibling before its 4 yrs old) Anyway, ive ruled out implants. (Dont like the thought. Refuse to do it) Ive ruled out the flexable ring they put in your vagina (same reason as the implants) I dont want the normal pills (even with a low dose of estergen im afraid of it bringing or making my endometerosis worse again like it did the first time) the last two options are the depo shot and the patch. My mom was on the depo shot and she bleed constantly. My sisters on it and it kinda sorta works. (She has endometerosis as well) the patch is something new to me. Im afraid of the depo shot making me bleed constantly like it did my mom. Im complaplating the patch. But to be honest, im afraid of all birth control right now because the last time i was on it i was in constant pain.
My husband said hes not going to force me to go on it, and that if i didnt wed be careful so we didnt end up with 2 kids under 3. But im just as scared not to be on it, as i am being on it. So alittle help here. If you were in my situation, what would you do?

I've been on both the shot and the patch. In my experience the shot sucked, I was sick and I bled for three months before my body leveled out. I loved the patch, it was easy, I didn't feel sick on it and once my body got used to it, it took about 3 weeks, I had a regular period, I felt good on it like it wasn't tearing down my body. My only warning is make sure you cover it with a bandaid when you go swimming, they come off quick because of the chlorine. So honestly if I were in your position I'd immediately go for using the patch, because of how easily my body adjusted to it.

@langwell615 Thank you. I just hope the patch doesnt bring back my endometerosis at full force either. Thats my main fear of birth control to be honest. I have a history of issues with constant cysts. I was unaware that i had endometerosis until i got on birth control trying to control the cysts. Then the birth control made my endometerosis worse and i was in constant pain. So for over a yr i was in pain from either having cysts or the endometerosis flaring up. It was so bad that even after i got off the birth control the pain continued and slowly got worse. It was really hard to work when everything hurt and id double over for pretty much no reason due to sharp pains caused by the endometerosis. It actually caused me to be out of work alot. So im afraid of the same pattern happening again.

@bethany_swaney my best friend has endometriosis and she got put on the patch and for her it slowed down the progression of it. She didn't have a chance at having kids before it but now she has about a year that she can try because the patch slowed it down. So I know for her it helped where other birth control didn't. She is still in pain but it's not nearly as bad as it had been.

@langwell615 yeah. To be honest because of the endometerosis we were suprised that i even got pregnant. But we know it was meant to happen because before the baby i was in so much pain i couldnt fight it anymore. I was going into surgery for it on Oct 19th 2016 when they canceled the surgery because the pregnancy test came back positive. For the first month and a half of the pregnancy i was still in pain. But after that it went away. So bc of our little blessing ive been 6 and a half months pain free out of these 9 months.

@bethany_swaney that's amazing, maybe you'll continue pain free after birth and maybe quickly picking up a birth control will help keep it at bay

@langwell615 yeah. They said anyway that pregnancy is the natural pain reliever for endometerosis. Since its caused by an excess of estrogen being produced, the pregnancy slows down that estrogen bc well you dont have periods. But since endometerosis is chronic it almost always comes back once your period starts again. The only real way to keep it completely gone is by never bleeding.

Then I would definitely stay away from the depo shot, everyone I know who has been on it bled non stop for months before their body adjusted. With the patch you allow your body one week to bleed but depending on what your body does you may not bleed or only bleed a day or two and then be done by the time you need to put the next patch on.
