How do you guys feel about pacifiers? Did you give your LO one when he/she was born or no? Why?…

I give my baby one sometimes but usually he doesn't take it. If he's overly tired or he has uncomfortable gas it does calm him down for him to relax and go to sleep and then he usually spits it out when he's calmed down. Other than that he doesn't really like it

@raquely, see I was thinking about giving her a blanket or stuff animal instead of a paci! I just didn't want her to get TOO attached to one and me have the hardest time getting rid of it when it's time

I say no.

My LO have had one I've seen a couple of articles about research that supports sucking on a paci can keep your baby from falling in too deep of a sleep and passing of SIDS. My daughter gave hers up at 5 months old though

@raquely, no a paci. I just heard some kids have a really hard time getting rid of one.

My daughter liked it until about 3 months and then all of sudden didn't want it anymore. If I give her one she just bites it and she's 5 months now.
