SERIOUS QUESTION : have any of you ladies had abnormal Pap results ?? For the last 3 yrs I've had abnormal Pap results . They did half a biopsy 2 yrs ago only half because they didn't see anything wrong so they didn't fully complete it . When I found out I was pregnant they did a pap of course and it was still abnormal . I have abnormal cells on cervix is what they said and since I was pregnant they couldn't touch my cervix of course . I had a pap last week and they said they didn't get a good enough swab so I have to redo it again . When I go again if it's abnormal cells on my cervix again I gotta have a colposcopy or something I forgot which is when they have to cut pieces of tissue off instead of scraping 😳either way I'm horrified and don't want it . If I had it for 3 yrs I'm sure having a baby didn't change anything . What do y'all think could be the cause of abnormal cells on my cervix ? and no it's not STDs or any signs of infection . They checked for all that during cultures everything was fine. I just know I do not want any further test done if it's been abnormal for 3 yrs and I'm not sick and I just had a baby why look into it ???

Could be hpv, could be the start of something else, could be nothing. Just continue letting your doctors test and think positive

It could be benign cells on your cervix which they can freeze them off and like the other girl said HPV but it's most likely not that because it's been 3 years and HPV is one of those things that goes away on its on. A colposcopy isn't that bad... it will be all in your mind... but I would recommend getting it handled who knows what it could turn into without the proper treatment.

I had it for 3yrs they did hpv test every time they did along with cultures nothing came back positive . But it keep coming back abnormal . During my pregnancy they did it 3 times normal pap and for cultures. Cultures came back fine but pap was abnormal but she said the cell count was lower but still to high to ignore . And since it's been 3 yrs with little to no change I guess they're starting to become alil concerned and want to figure out what's going on if there's something to even worry about . I just personally don't wanna do it I didn't like the biopsy so them having to cut this time instead of scraping NO. @arivera64,

Yes I know it isn't hpv maybe it is benign cells since they can't find anything . They didn't even finish the biopsy because nothing lit up when they poured the vinegar solution in me so that meant no sign of infection or inflammation. I just don't wanna do it because I'm scared !! I don't like paps because they hurt so anything past that I really don't wanna do it . But I pushed it off for 3yrs and a new baby and it's still there . I'm just scared because of the procedure the tools etc . But like you said it's all on my head @jydouglas,

Same reason as yours but I was pregnant so they couldn't do more than a colposcopy. I never went back after I had my son honestly.

Wow I'm surprised they even did that . My doctor wouldn't do more than a pap cause I was pregnant . But I heard that you can't do that type of testing when your bleeding either . So I can redo my pap but anything after will have to wait because I'm still PP bleeding . @vella89,

They did mine. I was at the end of my pregnancy. Maybe that's why I had my son at 35 weeks

They told me cramping and spotting was normal afterwards

Also my blood pressure got really high too and they couldn't get it down
