Well I didn't get a paycheck like I was expecting from work today. I should have been paid for 20hrs that was left of my PTO time but I got nothing and rent is due and we don't have the money for it. I have to check and see why I didn't get any money and if this is right I won't get another in 2 weeks either since I start back to work today. My husband isn't making much while he is mentoring and now all of our bills will behind....we have plenty of food and will so im not worried about that...but this sucks being hormonal and alone cuz hubby just left last night and will be on the road until tuesday so I'm alone. Rly not looking fwd to work today or the 13hr shifts this weknd but at least I'll be making money....

Just take a deep breath! I know how stressful that can be... my ex husband and I got custody of his 2 daughters, and took a trip to Florida to drop his oldest son at college... wrote a check for his tuition draining our savings to about $600... then we came home... went to work and we BOTH got laid off that next Friday! There were over 700 people in our community laid off unexpectedly so the unemployment office was SO backed up and we literally went 12 weeks before we received anything... and it took me almost 11 weeks to find a job making half what I was making... and my ex was looking for work for over 6 months! 😫 some how, we managed to eeek by... bellys were always fed, and bills were paid as we had the funds... we were totally upfront with our landlord, and because of that he worked with us on the rent... we sold things and did odd jobs, like yard work for family and friends... you can get through this... and it will make you stronger! I'll pray for peace and strength!

@dreamermom Thank you hunny ♡ it's just so discouraging cuz we have been struggling since he went to get his CDL at the end of Jan and went ovr 5 weeks with no pay getting his license and putting out quite a bit of money on it. Now he is working but being with a mentor only makes him about $300 a week. Our savings is already drained from the past 2 month of making things work and this was just a low blow. Thankfully I kno someone who needs house work done so I'll be going there on my days off to work so I can make extra money. I'm glad u guys made it thru it's always so stressful especially when ur alone and my hubby has to spend money on the road for food and such.

@lillyb yeah, it really sucks short term... but you are both making sacrifices for your family... him doing this now will give you guys more options for the future... a year from now you will be in a far better place... have money back in your savings, and will have the knowledge you learned through this challenging time... so you will use the new funds better!

@dreamermom ur right and it's one of the few things that keeps us going that once he is done mentoring he will be making much more and we will be so much better off. I just wish they would send him ovr the road instead of constantly on these short runs cuz its taking him forever to get his hours in to be done with it.
