I made a game out of the booger bulb. I'd blow it in their ears and on their foreheads and use it to suck on their cheeks before I'd stick it in their noses. It made it easier sometimes.
When that failed, I'd sit in the bathroom with them and fill the tub with hot water to let the steam help break things up. You can also make a saline solution by boiling a cup of water with about a teaspoon of salt, and use a syringe to gently spray into his nose.
Most babies dislike it ...my son is usually okay after I'm done but during its a fight..... The only suggestion I have is the old school method suck it out but he'll probably dislike that too
