Has anyone switched from a name brand to an "off brand" of formula? My daughter is 7 1/2 months old & the formula is getting expensive. We don't qualify for WIC or food stamps. I was wondering what ypur experiences were? I am worried it may upset her tummy if we switch to a cheaper brand BUT SAME FORMULA!

Parents choice n Gerber n what ever else kind r the same all blues r the same all purple is the same...i switched my son a lot due to he ate a lot

I know the feeling i make to much to qualify. I used Parents choice and nothing happen to him.

We don't qualify either but we tried parents choice because it's almost the same ingredients as Similac and it made her super constipated she's already used to Similac advanced. She cried because she was so constipated. I felt so bad I'll never do it again.

Do you have access to a Costco/sams club or use Amazon? Buying in bulk at a wholesale store is a lot cheaper in the long run, and Amazon usually has it for cheaper because it comes directly from the seller rather than second hand.
If not, just read all the ingredients and nutrition info on the labels and look for something as close as possible to what you usually get.
Make sure you pay attention to the order the ingredients are listed, because they're listed by content from least to greatest. Some brands may have more or less of certain ingredients that your baby could be sensitive to and it might cause gas and constipation as stated before.
My babies seemed to do well with local grocery store brands. (Actual grocery, not Walmart or target, etc.)

@mari_c , that is what I'm afraid of. At 1st, she was in similac advanced and it made her spit up. Then I switched tl the Enfamil Gentelease & that has worked so well for her. @pinkblossom99 it sucks! I wish I qualified for WIC, it would help so much! @rhealize thank you so much! I have already done the comparison to Walgreens brand and the Enfamil. They seem almost identical but i just bought the Enfamil cause I didn't want to risk it. My sister told me Gerber as well. I will look tonight when we head to walmart. I have looked on amazon....almost every day i look but we don't have the $ to subscribe. Its like $111 every month, which is technically less than what we spend. But its not at once! My parents have a sams membership. I can check that out.
