Any moms on here raising their children with a focus on non-toxic and organic 99% of the time?
@awilder7, we always read labels! And love brands like California Baby and Weleda 😊
@awilder7, awesome well I hope it all works out yes sometimes it's just what works for each mom is best no right or wrong.
@txyogagirl I think if he ever sleeps in the crib I will just get the organic waterproof mattress cover... I'm mostly just sticking to 100%cotton for clothing if it's not organic. Carter's isn't too bad and there are a couple stores not too far away that do used clothing so I am doing that too. I do cotton cloth diapers too, but I use a delivery service and they are not organic. I have to go back to work soonish and I have one class a week on campus, so the bottle will be just in case. My midwife recommends only 1 bottle feeding a week til he is 3 mos, and it needs to be given by someone else. I wish🌠 I could just be home with him all the time😍 I write so I am looking at a couple different things to try to make that happen🤞🍀
@hiswifetheirmama, @awilder7, yes we do organic as much as possible. I purchased the crib mattress cover at target I believe sealy brand I think it was 40 dollars. I purchased the mattress online it's not organic bc I wanted memory foam I know it's full of toxins bc were tempurpedic fans for life so I wanted the closet thing to that. I actually purchased my 110lb dog the same baby mattress about 6 years before and it's organic cotton lol go figure when I want same for baby they don't make it anymore. I know babyletto make organic mattress we bought the Hudson crib from them. For clothing burts bee has awesome pjs and onesies and reg clothes but I only have pj and onesie. Also h&m has all organic onesies. I did purchase organic bath towels burts bee. His sheets dust ruffle and covers were all handmade no they aren't organic but sure beats the heck out of mass marketed foreign products. My thing is not so much organic but more buying USA or handmade recycled hand me down etc. I spent over 200 on all lifefactory and never never has been given a bottle my fault but I'm glad they also turn to soppy so I didn't totally waste my money. I also cloth diaper all my prefold r organic and my covers are put and cotton try to by minimal amounts of polyester bc it's the cheapest worst fabric ever and it's so crappy to sew
@kitcatmeow8383 there wasn't enough evidence that plastic is non toxic for bottles etc. The Mason Bottle Co makes a silicon sleeve and nipples for Ball 4 oz jelly jars. It's what I use to store while I pump and we will try the bottle tonight while I'm at class 🤞
@hiswifetheirmama gotcha. I know if I get an organic waterproof cover it will cut down on the toxins... they're pricey, but so far my pack n' play is the only thing that is known to have toxins. But, nontoxic strollers are a joke! Like $800! Not gonna happen!
Yes! ☺️
