Ok mama's TMI MOMENT! I need advice if anyone has any, so my sonogram is on the 12th... we r finding out the gender that day but I have to drink 32 Oz of water from 7:45-8:00 then stop, my appointment is at 9:00 then I'll be aloud to pee at 9:30.... here is my problem... I can't even drink 5 Oz without feeling like I'm going to explode I think my baby is always laying on my bladder Cuz before my bladder can get even 1/3 way filled I feel like I have to pee so badly and then once I do go pee it's barely anything... I have no clue what to do! Any advise?

You don't have to drink that much water I just found out the gender yesterday & just drank a bottle before my app. They just want your bladder full

There was a sign posted that said I should drink 3 litters of water before my appointment but that's what they ADVISE YOU it's not required

It pushes your bladder forward & they are able to see baby more clearly

They told me the same. They didn't ask but I got down half a bottle of water on the way there.

I might have to bring extra undies and pants just in case of an accident Cuz sometimes the baby pushes on it to much and I end up peeing myself lol @newmommyathenia @momofdeuce

3 liters of water before an appointment would lead to hyponatremia and over hydration, 4liters in a short period could kill you with electrolyte imbalances so I'm sure no one asked anyone to drink 4 liters before an appointment

Ultrasound waves will transmit better through water just like thinking about putting ultrasound jelly on your tummy, its a gel water and the sound carries easier through it for a better picture
