Why Is My Father-in-Law Ruining Our Vacation Over Rent?
My fucking father-in-law won't even leave us alone long enough for us to relax on vacation for three days! We rent from him. He messaged my boyfriend seeming nice, and then started being extremely passive aggressive saying we're four months behind on rent (not true and we have proof). My boyfriend said he'll get this and next months rent when we come back on Saturday because he doesn't get paid until tomorrow (and he knows that damn well). A week ago, that was fine, and now he's throwing a complete bitch fit. Saying "No just go ahead and spend it all on your vacation." Not to mention he swears up and down that we owe him an extra $1k that he completely pulled out of his ass. He asked us what happened to all of our tax money, as if he's entitled to every single penny we got back. He went ballistic when we said we were in gatlinburg. Calling us irresponsible? Our bills are paid. We have rent covered and set aside. In all honesty I don't even think we owe him rent because he's selling our house and forcing us to leave. He basically said we didn't "deserve" to go on a three day vacation even though we haven't been anywhere alone in almost 2 years. I cannot, cannot, can NOT wait to get the hell out of his house so we can cut all ties with him. He's never gonna see his granddaughter again. He cares more about money than he does his son or granddaughter and thinks we're irresponsible if we spend money on anything other than bills and don't give the rest to him. Meanwhile he never even talks to his other kids. He never spends money on his wife but has no issue taking our rent money and using it on vacations with his 20 girlfriends every other month. I loathe him.

SOUNDS SO MUCH LIKE MY IN LAWS!!! we are also renting from my in laws and they constantly act like we're putting them out if we are even a month behind. They're cheap asses and get all nibby and ask us how much money we spent on something because they're so afraid that they're not going to get their money and they act like since they're cheap we should be cheap too.

@sherrynygirl he's literally been blowing up both of our phones for the last hour and a half. I had to block his number. While I was writing this post I got 12 messages from him. He's so set on getting us out as soon as possible that he and his wife are sending us links to 1bd apartments in the ghetto even though a 1bd isn't feasible. I asked him to stop messaging me and got called every name in the book. He's literally trying to make it so that we can't enjoy it. It's so sad

My mother in law actually had the nerve to come over here last summer and started picking through my flowers and taking what she wanted because she feels like she's entitled to since we're renting from them! She didn't even ask whatsoever, I just seen her outside in my flower bed taking a shovel and digging out the flowers.

@amandahiatt33 it's so ridiculous! He's like "you know how much money I have to pay to keep this place up and running?" But we pay everything, including the homeowners insurance and he doesn't have a mortgage? He's not paying for anything. He has other rental property and I'm wondering if he treats all his tenants like this.

@sherrynygirl they got into an argument the day before we left, and my bf stopped responding. So this morning his dad messaged him asking if he was mad at him, and how our vacation was going, acting nice. Then he just blew up out of nowhere. 😑
