I know the feeling. I grew up with a dad that was open road truck driving. My mom raised me pretty much alone for 13 yrs. And i helped her raise my sister. My dad came back and worked local when i turned 13 but he had missed a large part of mine and my sisters lives. He tried to be a father right out, but got mad when we only listened to our mom. It took him a while to realize it was because he was gone all the time. We loved him yes, but how was we supposed to see him as our actual father when he was never there?

Thats why i made my husband promise that hed always be there, that hed come home every night for our child. I dont care how hard we struggle. To me no job is worth loosing time with your child.

Yeah my daughter hardly sees her father he works locally here in town but by the time he gets home my daughters asleep and in his days off all he wants to do is sleep and play video games I pretty much raise her on my own other then I don't have to work @bethany_swaney

@dixiesmommy2016 its not good. Unfortantly it has a negative effect on children and the family. He needs to cut down on the vids. I know he works all the time, but so does my husband. My husbands a gamer but he wants to spend what little time he can with me and the baby. You need to talk to him. Because the long term effect isnt going to be good. I know this from experince.
