Can i get some opinions?
Im due April 13 and my doctor wants to induce me on April 9. I haven't asked him why yet, but there's nothing medically wrong with me or the baby. On one hand I'm thinking it's only a couple days before so that's fine bc I know if I go past my due date he'll want to induce me anyway but on the other hand I know that if my babys not ready it could be a super long labor or if it takes too long I would have to get a c section, which I don't want. Help, I'm so ok the fence about this.

Well, I was induced a week before my due date. I was in labor for 14 hours . I pushed for 15 minutes an my daughter came out healthy an fine. 7 lbs 2 oz. It's totally up to you, i was also on the fence but it was for medical reasons

In my opinion you should see why he wants to induce, an a few days really don't matter...it's just waiting till you LO is ready to meet you

I was induced a week after i was due and i was in labor for 41 hrs.. you should ask your doctor why he is making that decision.

I would wait for him he will come when he is ready unless it's past your due date then I would get induced but if there is nothing wrong that will give him much longer to get bigger and healthier

You can always ask. I have been okay and trying to avoid getting induce but tomorrow I'll be 40 weeks n 1 day and getting induce due to baby measuring 2 weeks ahead.

@lara93 @happymommynwife @wmonica471 @aliakr thanks ladies. I think I'm just gona tell him I wana wait til at least my due date and if he wants me to get induced after that then I will. As long as there's no reason to do it sooner.

You can go up to 2 weeks or so after your due date.
