My sons crying and I was letting him cry it out for a little then I tried doing part of this sleep training thing i read but it didn't really work so I got him and changed him and laid him down in my bed and I was like well you're going to have to cry for a minute because I had to go make him a small bottle and my moms like you are just going to make him cry?! I'm like no, I'm making him a bottle. she's like so you are going to make him cry for like a half hour now?I'm like mom, I'm making him a bottle!! She was like oh. She gets on my nerves. He was only crying for like 10 mins before I tended to him and he continued to cry when I changed him and wouldn't take his pacifier, I wasn't just leaving him to fricking cry! She frustrates me, with the things she saids all the time. 😒

Sleep training was the best thing we ever did! The first few nights were the hardest but then it gets so much easier!

We used the cry it out method... it's called the Ferber method. The first three nights were the toughest but after that he'll put himself to sleep within ten minutes. It takes a lot of patience not to give up though! I wanted to so bad the first few nights but I'm so glad I didn't. You can message me if you want any advice. :)

I've done the cry it out method and most of the time it doesn't work 😕 his dr said not to let him cry more than 15-20mins and my mom gets on gets on my ass about it when I let him cry. It's really hard to do when I live with her. @dextersmama,

Ughhhh that would be hard. I never let him cry more than 15-20 minutes at a time. I'd go in there every ten minutes and pat his back and calm him down. Then I would leave. And I'd just keep doing that until he fell asleep. The first few nights it took him awhile. I don't know what to do about your mom though. That'd be tough. 😕

There is also a no cry method.... I didn't look into that much. But it's worth looking into!

I mean I can try and discuss it with her that this is what I'm doing and she just needs to oblige and work with me so I can try this out. But idk about doing it all night with him crying. @dextersmama,

It will be hard. But it seriously is only tough for about three nights and then it's like a complete turnaround. It's definitely not easy listening to the crying but it's totally worth it in the long run.

I'll talk to my mother and hopefully I can atleast try it out. I'll read more into it. I just read up on the no cry method. @dextersmama,
