**ATTENTION MAMA'S OF CHILDREN WITH ASTHMA OR ANYONE WITH A MEDICAL BACKGROUND**-- My son's almost 8 months old and has RSV... His cough is getting out of control... I've got a nebulizer due to the fact that myself and my daughter both have asthma... My question is, what are your thoughts on giving my baby boy a breathing treatment? I would'nt give him an entire treatment since he's a baby, but I'm curious if it's ok to do so to help break up this mucus......... Every single time he has a coughing fit, I die a little bit inside..... He's trying to sleep right now, but he can't relax coz he can't stop coughing...

My sons ped have him a neb when he was about that age. He gets them as needed. I would suggest giving him one of you have tried other options. Like humidifer. Or the OTC. Medicine zarbees. Or a steamy shower.

My daughter recently went through this, she has alot of congestion in her and couldn't breath properly also the coughing was getting too dry so she prescribed the nebulizer with some type of droppss i forgot the name for her to breath on. I would take him to the Dr and she will most likely ask you to use it, just to stay on the safe side. I hope your babyboy gets better cause i know the feeeling it breaks the heart to see them like that and not being able to do much 😘

Have you tried keeping a humfidier in the room? Or hold him the bathroom with the shower on super hot. Ugh I can't even imagine! I'd take him to the doctor just to be safe, even urgent care could probably give good advice. I hope he feels better soon!

I already took him to the doctor yesterday, that's how I know that he's got RSV and an ear infection... I've got a cool mist humidifier in the bedroom and I been using Hyland's cold medicine, vapor rub, saline solution and the nose Frida... I gave him a breathing treatment a lil bit ago. @lucasmomma @noemiix33 @rmreed

Hope this helps. Says you can absolutely treat symptoms of RSV with the nebulizer. Just be careful what medication goes in yours. :)
