Okay kind of a weird rant/question alert..
so earlier this year, hubs took a snowboarding trip with his dad and brothers. It really got me thinking about how much I miss my mom and sisters who all live in Texas. I brought it up to him about how I'd really like to go visit them for a few days, no kids. He told me he would think about it but was upset because he knows my step brother (who has a very real creepy crush on me) lives there as well and the last time I visited he got drunk and tried to convince me to leave my husband for him despite the fact I was also very pregnant at the time. 🙄 I understand his concerns but I also can handle myself and honestly just don't give a fuck. Literally all I want to do is see my family..his entire family lives here so he sees them all the time but for me it's a rare occurrence. I feel like it's unfair :( my step-brother will always be around so does that mean I can never see my mom and sisters without supervision?? I'm a grown ass woman! I need some advise about how to convince him to let go..thoughts?

@viiviian.aiide, well I wouldn't mind it, in fact I've asked to do that many times, but I kind of want a few days to myself you know? Go to bed when I feel like it, wake up when I feel like it, go out to a bar with my sisters and not have to worry about my kids. Just some girl time!

Take the family on the trip to Texas and get your girl time back home. See if your sisters can visit you sometime for the weekend. Or go and just FaceTime him and let him know constantly that things are ok. 😊

@morganmommy79, neither of my sisters can really afford to travel. One has a big family and tight expenses and the the other is a broke college kid lol so really if I want to see them then I have to go there. I'd love for the whole family to go but it would cost so much...if it's just me it would be much cheaper and I definitely need to get away lol I like the facetime idea! I'm sure I'd have to do that anyway for my kids 😂

@vegasmomma, I always tell my hubby that when he's away if he doesn't ignore me and he stays in touch I feel better about it. His family lives in Georgia so he occasionally travels there.
