Don't give him an option. He knows you will give in because you always have.

Here's a couple things you could try that worked with my kids when they were at that stage:

1)Start putting water in the bottle instead of formula or milk. He'll stop complaining if water is the only thing he gets to wake up to 😂

2) Let him have his normal bottle until he's drowsy, then rock him to sleep the rest of the way so he learns to break the habit.

3) Try a new sippy cup. They have some with lids similar to the material bottle nipples are made of to help make the transition easier.

My son is going on three. He is still on the bottle. Its a comfort thing i guess. I continuously try.

Have you tried the softer sippy cup it's made from same material as bottles they have ones for 12 and up I think it's got turtles on it

@rhealize, @mommy2benntley, thanks ladies! He does like water so I guess I will try that and he does have the nuk sippy cups with like the bottled top material and he refuses that one too just when he's sleepy lol he drinks a sippy cup all day long !

Just dont give him the option of a bottle. He will forget. Kids dont need anything. It's the parents that think they do. I switched my boys at 6 months to sippy cups. They dont use pacifiers. No special blanket. I didnt want them stuck on anything. That's just my personal preference

@beebaby, I was the same way lol! He gave his pacifier up at 5 months he hated it! And I don't let him sleep with blankets because he always tangled them up around his head.. it's just these damn bottles lol
