Anyone know how long a late fee takes to get off your credit? And when you can try to be approved for a mortgage again?…

Based on what my husband just told me it can take up to 7 years.

The lender told me to call him back in like 4 to 6 months and then maybe he can do something ... @ty_no_de_love, so Idk 😞

Well if is like a credit card company to who you made your payment late, you still can call them and ask if they can get it removed, if your payment history is good and if your late payment happened like just once or twice they might help you.

It's my boyfriend .. he had just opened the card and he didn't have his credit card number because his account got hacked so he had to wait for a new credit card to come in order to pay it ☹️ I told him to talk to the company about it... @ty_no_de_love,

And the payment was only 50$

Tell him to call the credit card company they can do something for him. He should have called when they put as late payment. Good luck
