I hate that people act like I'm stupid because I won't use a pacifier with my daughter.
@scurlock.mommy my daughter was only taken out of the room to get blood drawn and to get the hep b shot. They gave her one then too, which made me pretty mad. But she hated it.
My daughter had one and she weaned herself off at 4 months. We didn't want her having one, but the nursery in the hospital gave her one without asking us. She eventually decided she didn't want it anymore. I'll attempt to give it to her on rare occasions, but she usually immediately spits it out.
@lovemyson215 I have nothing against people that use them or have used them. But those people seem to have something against me. I exclusively breastfeed, I never even thought of nipped confusion. I just don't want her being dependent and it's one less thing to buy
My son only used a pacifier when he was in the nicu. he was born 6 weeks early. and probably used it up until he was a little over a month but only at night time.. he never really cared for it only when he was small. My sisters daughter is breastfed and she never has had a paci cause she doesn't want the nipple confusion. all moms and babies are different
I didn't with my son. Sometimes I wish i had, bc he used me as one lol but now that hes older I don't regret it
@amandacn lol the first night after she was born I refused to sleep bc I wanted to make sure she was safe and I didn't trust the nursery, so my nurse was like, "How about this? I'll take her to the nursery and I will personally check on her every 15 minutes. If she gets hungry or fussy, I'll bring her back to you." So I let her. When she brought her back to me she said that they kept giving her one and she kept taking it out lol
