Actually breastmilk is much much better for jaundice not formula. Formula could mess with your supply, yes. I would NOT start supplementing if I were you. It's kind of a slippery slope especially since she's only 3 days old.

@jacesterlingsmommy It really wasnt my choice. I'm trying to stick with my breast more now cause they hava more Milk now. They kept asking again again if I was breastfeeding.

Yet they still gave her formula saying that they need to get her blood sugar up. And then after that they say that its to push the jaundice out in her poop and pee. I'm kinda upset about it cause I just wanted to be straight breast.

Doctor told me the same thing when my daughter was extremely jaundice. That formula would be better for my daughter and I didn't produce enough anyway to breastfeed. My daughters level were crazy high though! Do what you feel is best mama. Things will work out! ☺

My daughter had jaundice and they never gave her formula or told me she had to have it , she was just fed breast milk. And they get jaundice cause their bodies are having a hard time breaking down something. And if they are formula fed they have a hard time breaking that down as if she was breast fed she will be able to break that down easier
