What are people's opinions on using wipes on a new born? They recommend cotton balls and water as wipes aren't suitable…

I only used cotton wool for the first wash over in hospital and for bum changes I used extra sensitive wipes, also there's water wipes that you can get but they're a bit more expensive x

@tgreen25 I used wipes from about 6 week with my daughter and still using cotton wool on my son who's 3 weeks old now x

@tgreen25 wipes seem to make newborns skin red I think x

I used a bit of both, found water wipes easier when it was more messy then cotton wool to clean after ☺ xx

I used cotton wool with water and water wipes whilst in hospital. And have used normal wipes since, with no issues. We've just been buying the extra sensitive ones ☺

Water wipes are good but are a lot colder then normall wipes my oliver hated them as we're too cold xx

I used cotton wool & water for maybe a week with my first. I think I only used it whilst in hospital with my 2nd then used sensitive wipes once we got home lol

i just used baby wipes from the beginning 😂 i don't see the problem with them tbh, my daughter had skin problems (really bad eczema) but didn't bother her xx

@tgreen25, I used water wipes from being in hospital and still using them now and Florence is 5 months old, we buy them in boxes from Amazon so a little cheaper xxx
