I know one way he'll get paid. Not as much as he usually does because he won't be able to do overtime if they let him work in the office or do workers comp and in order to pay our bills we need him to work overtime. I'm stressing about the fact that he may need surgery. If he moves his thumb even and inch he can tear his tendon completely and lose his thumb. He loses his thumb I don't think he would be able to work where he does meaning we are screwed in the long run. The thumb is an important finger I would rather him lose his ring finger or his pinkie or his pointer finger but his thumb yeah. We have no family to help us financially if something happened that prevented him from working it's just us so injuries that affect him to work stresses me out. Times like these, I wish I had a job but I'm just a stay at home mom and a full time college student. @trice4990,

Maybe letting dad stay home for a bit while you work would be the best option. Let him heal, even a part time job will make up for the overtime he is losing

A baker at my work cut his hand in between his thumb and pointer finger. He had to have surgery, and although he didn't lose a finger (thank God!), his thumb and pointer are now always numb. The surgery definitely help with keeping the range of motion he had before the accident. So, if he has surgery, hopefully it's beneficial! I'm so sorry that happened! It's like we can never be good for too long before something happens to take us a step back financially. Life sucks sometimes!!

@babynessa, I texted him to ask - lol. He said 2 months out of work, and then they had him on light duty at work for another month after.
