Okkkk seriously my family is nuts. Am I being crazy or not?....
I'm visiting my grandparents soon (they're divorced but live close so I intended on staying with each a couple days at a time with Karoline). But my grandmas dogs are DISGUSTING and so misbehaved. I don't want to stay at her house because of the dogs (I'm HIGHLY allergic and my daughter is so sensitive I can't even use regular wash clothes they have to be "organic cotton". So needless to say she's probably allergic too). I mentioned to my grandma that I don't want the dogs around Karoline or myself because of how sensitive we are, and she straight up chose the damn dogs over me and my daughter. Saying if I want to come see her I need to respect that it's the dogs house and she's not going to put them outside or in another room so we can visit. Am I being ridiculous??

Not at all. My son has allergy to dogs so don't go to people's homes that have dogs that are inside. You health and daughter's health is more important. Your grandma made her choice.

@madilynn16, that's how I was feeling. I've been allergic to animals my entire life and she refuses to acknowledge it and says I'm making it up. Even when I'm having a full blown allergy attack/asthma attack. So frustrating. And that's my mentality at this point. I don't want to be basically bullied into doing something and putting my daughter in a situation I'm not comfortable with

Becoming mothers we see the true colors to people we thought cared for us such as family. It sucks but it's better off like that.
