Wow. So in November we took Isabelle to the ER bc she had pneumonia and even though she has insurance, we still received an xray bill bc registration never took her card (they lied and said it was already on file). So at the end of November we got a bill, which I then turned into her insurance company who said they'd take care of it bc xrays are fully covered.
Guess who got a bill from a collections agency for that bill? 🤗🤗 That's EXACTLY what I need when we're trying to buy a house. I figured it was taken care of because we only received one bill, never a final notice, nary a call about it, no call from insurance saying they didn't pay it.
Damn it. Why can't people just do their job?

@beebaby honestly it's probably already been paid and this hospital just wants more money. The same thing happened when I gave birth. Insurance paid for everything and I still received a $14k bill from the hospital. I had to get proof from my insurance showing they had already paid it so they wouldn't send it to collections. 😑😑😑 vultures.

Girl I'm with you i received 2 collections calls about my daughter's appointments that she went to at like 4-5 days old... I'm like wtf she's under my name just use my insurance.. lawd

@raisinghazel yes! I ASKED the registration lady if she needed her insurance card and she said "no, we've already got it." Then when I got that first bill they said it wasn't on file. She straight up lied. 🤔
