Okay ladies, I need opinions!!! So my daughter is turning the big ONE on June 17th! It's a big day for us, HUGE day for her! I've got three sisters down in Kentucky who are wanting to go on vacation to the beach the week of my daughters birthday... on top of that, they have children, and two of them just happen to have birthdays about a week apart from my daughter. My sisters are wanting to plan a party for all 3 and just combine them. I'm not much for the idea. Is that wrong of me??? They never come up to Pennsylvania to visit us, we always make the drive down there and it's exhausting. My fiance and I originally said we are doing vacation by ourselves this year, our own little family, now my family wants us to make a 10+ hour drive to go to the beach just to make them happy. 😩😧😧😧 I'm so over it. What would you ladies do?!?!?! Help!

Go on vacation as a family (not with them) every other year you can combine but this is her first one so make it all about her. I'm taking my daughter & SO on vacation for her 1st birthday too. Our girls aren't too far apart ! ❤

I personally don't see anything wrong with the idea of doing your own thing. I would feel the same way especially since it's her FIRST birthday, hell no to sharing it with others. It's all about ur baby. I would talk to your sisters and explain to them how u feel. Since they have kids they should get where your coming from. And maybe schedule another time to visit them.

I feel like my family doesn't make enough effort to see my daughter. We make all the driving and all the sacrifices. I'm so over it to be honest. I could care less if they see me, if that's how it's gonna be.. just don't want my daughter to suffer from it. @bria my sister and mom made one trip up in September when Carlie was 3 months old and haven't since. Eric and I brought carlie down in october and December! What long car rides those were!!

Thank you ladies!! @hannahbbtt @jloop7509 this seriously helps to make my decision easier. To heck with what they want. I'm tired of bending over backwards when we don't get the same in return. Having our own family vacation, it is! 😁

Celebrating a 1st bday is a milestone and if it's important to you and your fiancé, then kindly let them know that. Do what you both feel is best for your little family b'coz these are the memories you will look back on w your little one.
