No mam. I had no problems with it whatsoever. Now, when they said I was dilated to a 10 I got really naseauted & thought I would puke but I think that's because of my nerves & not eating for over 16 hours. Lol they give u a catheter when they put it in & I never felt them put it in or take it out but after about 2-3 days I had the worse burning when I peed. I'm not sure if it was from the catheter or from tearing so bad but it was awful. I didn't feel them break my water or check me for dilation with the epidural, I thought that was just amazing. Lol
Epidural because I was so tired & couldn't relax with the pain. As soon as I got it at 5cm dilated my pain went away & I could close my eyes. I had an amazing labor & delivery, surrounded by family, just so relaxing.
I did both and my natural birth was so much better. Less monitoring, less restrictions, and no lag after delivery. I'm doing a natural water birth this time around and I am SO excited.
@mommy.to.sterling Just couldn't walk for an hour? Was there any other side effects. My sister said it gave her a killer headache
Thanks I'll probably be one of those 9 out of 10 lol . Good advice though I'll just wait . Don't have to decide now anyway right
Thank you @gypsy.soul2 everyone keeps arguing about what I should do its driving me crazy
I went natural with all mine. Epidural was risky because of an old back injury. I have heard that natural makes pushing faster because you can feel and with an epidural you are more numb. Natural is no joke. I have Sensory Processing disorder so my pain tolerance is insane but I felt every moment of the hard labor. Most people who cant decide try to wait it out and ask for the epidural if it gets too bad... those same people 9 out of 10 times ask for it too late and end up natural. Listen to your body. When the real ones hit you will get a glimpse of pain. Then think this pain is going to increase can I handle this for x amount of hours? GL
natural. easiest recovery. my labors were all different though. you don't know what to expect but it's not so much pain as it is pressure and anxiety. you'll know what you want though when it happens
I got the epidural with my first birth. It made sick n made my ears ring. They ended up turning it off n I pushed my son out without it.
