It may take her longer to get used to her own bed.

Con- if you don't start putting them in their bed around 5mo it gets harder to transition them.

Pros- I never worried about SIDS because I could always feel her breathing. I got more sleep than I would have if she was in her own bed. Breastfeeding has been a breeze. Cuddles are in abundance.

Do you cosleep? @princesslina or does she stay in the bassinet?

That's one of the reasons I decided on co sleeping. That and from the moment she was born she didn't want to sleep without me

She stays in her bassinet. But she won't sleep on a flat surface. I think she's used to her bassinet smh lol

I co slept until my daughter was 2 months. After that I kicked her out of my bed and into her own. I say if you co sleep but plan to transition do it when their young because the longer you wait the harder it will be to transition them. I enjoyed co sleeping for a few reasons. Getting up at night and not having to go to get her but she was right next to me and her daddy was so easy. Plus she was just so small and snuggly. What I did not like about it is me and my husband never had us time, we hardly slept because we were so worried about smashing her, so we were sleep deprived. It's really what works for you and your family in the end. Some moms love co sleeping others do not. Me on the other hand I didn't really like co sleeping. I like having my bed with just my husband in it and not having to worry about her but knowing she's safe in her crib in her own room. Yes you get to bond with your child but it also teaches them to be so dependent on you for sleep. I love my child but I am the type of mom that thinks having her learn how to self soothe and being independent in some ways is good for her. Yes she looks for me for guidance to make sure she's ok but she knows she can explore and do her own thing without me being next to her 24/7 but also knows that I'm right there to pick her up when she's hurt and to wipe her tears when she needs it. I know a lot of moms worry about SIDS and that is a reason they co sleep, to make sure their child is breathing. SIDS can not be prevented and no ones knows what causes SIDS so I never worried about it. Yes it's scary but if you can't prevent it or change it where your child sleeps won't change if your child were to have SIDS. That's just my opinion.

Age 2 lol my family always uses a pack and play instead of a crib. A lot of people do actually

Adrienne is 3 months and we still cosleep. Maybe look into getting a in-bed co-sleeper off amazon or something it comes with walls so you don't roll on baby. We use a lulyboo travel bassinet for our little lady and it works just fine (until I shrunk it lol) I like it because it's easier to put her to sleep and then just turn around and fall asleep after I shower. Also, the little walls around it blocks my face if I'm sleeping so that when she wakes up in the middle of the night she can put herself back to sleep without having to look at my face. I don't like it because it takes up so much room in my bed but it's ok

@azaleasmommy, can't u imagine the day ur sweet baby goes to high school or prom or drives a car or goes to college 😭😭😭😭😭 I say co sleep 100% and yes I was totally that mom that said I wouldn't. U will defiantly wanna breast feed and it just makes it so much easier. My son takes all his naps n his crib or in my arms rocking then he starts out in a sleeper attached to our bed like literally I can be n my bed and him n sleeper and have a boob n his mouth but now he getting to long so he is n bed with us. They grow to fast enjoy every second. Hold ur baby spoil ur baby don't let that sweet baby cry it loves u so much and is only little once
