HELP PLEASE!!! I need some advice....I have known my husband for 15 years, been happily married to him for 2 years. We are 30 & no kids yet...ttc. Everyone in my family wants me to have a baby especially my husband & grandmother & its all I ever wanted. BUT MY MOTHER on the other hand thinks we are beyond crazy!!! She had 3 kids and she has everything BAD to say about me having a baby with my husband. She thinks because we live a good life it will all go to hell. I mean straight negative....point blank period she says leave the babies where they are!!! Shouldn't a grandmother be happier than me?!?! Am I losing my mind or is my mother???

My mom has 4 kids and she's never been too thrilled about any of them. Had my little sister just toe years ago and still kept making snide remarks when I got pregnant about how I'll never sleep again and I'll be stuck at home and it will be hell. Well.. Now I have a perfect baby and do whatever I want and have literally the best life with her and my husband and that even annoys my mother. Some people can't be pleased

My husband said mothers like that are Jealous? Maybe bc we may have been at a better place in life then she was at that time? Have you thought that before? I still feel sad.

I feel she's jealous. It's true motherhood can be challenging if your child is hard to adjust to. But it's a wonderful challenge and chapter in your life. Once you have him she'll either change her tune or she'll continue to be negative. If she continues then I'd kick her to the curb for a bit till she can respect you and be supportive as a mother and grandmother
