I need advice please I got this letter from one of my son's daycare teacher. I feel very upset about it. Would you guys feel the same way or is it just my hormones because I'm 32 weeks pregnant?
My son's nail are not bad at all they are a little dirty but his nails are kind of long every time I try to cut them even when he is asleep he throws a HUGE fit. None stop crying, throwing him self all over the please the whole 9 yards. What I started doing is curing one finger a day so he doesn't freak out to much or hurt him self in the process.
He is 16 months

Poo. I've found letting my son play with the clippers first and letting him "trim" my nails helps, but if your son is already freaked out by the process that might not work. Do you try *clipping your nails in front of him to show him it's not painful?

@kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom, I use fake nails but he goes with me to the nail salon and watches me get them done. I have tried giving him my phone to watch cartoons, putting the tv on, giving him his favorite toy, reading to him, giving him a snack but nothing works.

I wouldn't take it personal. I taught prek 3 for 2 years and had a 18-24 month class for about 6 months. notes like this are normal. they are for the safety of all kids, including your own. I've sent many of them home; my only intention being that every one was kept safe from unintentional scratches.

granted our notes were different. we had daily sheets that went home at the end of each day. there are several boxes you can check and one of which is Please trim fingernails. so it could be handled more professional, but it is still a valid request in my opinion.
