Most doctors won't give you any form of birth control until your 6 week checkup. At least where I live they won't.

Well you know how they tell you to stay away from sex it's because they don't want nothing going up there so you don't get an infection and the IUD hurts as hell when they put it in lol @mommy.ortiz4,

I heard so many bad reviews on the IUD. I personally never had it but everyone one I know who has it took it out 😩

But if you are considering it you should wait the 6 weeks so you are healed up a bit. So no risk of infections.

@mommy.ortiz4, My daughters birth and this one both doctors say 6 weeks. I have never heard of them doing it right after birth. Even if they would - your pour uterus has been through enough at birth lol I got mine and it felt like maybe a pinch ? Even getting it removed I hardly felt anything. I'll be getting one again in 6 weeks!
