I'm going to be so sad if they tell me next Friday that I need a c section. I delivered naturally…

I had a c section but didn't want it... I wanted to push but the stupid doctors kept me in labor to long and my cervix started to swell closed... Its a long story but yea... If I ever get the chance to have another blessing I would want to push.

@miller13, I know all hospitals are different, but how long after the c section was it until you got to hold your baby? What I hate the most is that with a natural birth, I held him as soon as he came out and I saw the first bath, etc. I know that won't happen with a c section. 😔

I got to hold her right after while they closed me up... But once I got to my recovery room I could hold her whenever... But I wanted to recover first from being numb due to the spinal tap...

@jaxmomma yea hospitals are different but you should still be able to hold your baby... Who are they to tell you can't?!!!

@miller13, I won't know until next Friday if I'll be getting a C section or not, so we haven't discussed it, so I've just been googling. (Worst thing ever to do) haha I read that they will let you touch and kiss your baby, but it could be 1.5-3 hours until you get to hold them because they want everything to wear off first. That's so upsetting to read. I also don't want any family seeing or holding him until I'm in the room with him. I'm just praying I don't need a c section 😭

I don't know how it is where you are but my baby never left my side after I had her... She was always in the changing table... Here where I am the baby stays in your room unless you ask to have the nursery watch over while you try to rest... I understand how you feel...like I said I didn't want a c section... Im still numb in a few places and my daughter will be 7 months on Wednesday...its just how your body will recover... I will also pray for you! 🙏❤😊 @jaxmomma
