Do you know what I fucking hate?! When your own family members feel they have the right to criticise everything you do with YOUR child for example ' you need to get him into his own bed' 'let him cry' 'stop picking him up' 'he does it because your not strong enough' the list goes on! I have been in childcare for almost 10 years, I have 3 brothers, I am now a mother I don't need schooling in how to look after my child!!! Sick and fucking tired off it!

My Mum & even my sister have had strong views on certain ways I do things differently to 'how they think it should be done'. Usually quite light hearted but my Mum & I have had a few arguments about how I prefer to deal particularly with behaviour. Unfortunately we can't change their views but you just have to turn the other cheek & ignore it, or tell them to keep their expert advice where the sun doesn't shine. Whichever you feel at the time 😂 I think our parents like to think they did it all with their hands tied behind their back, blind folded & we all turned out perfectly. I think they forget the bad nights & experiences they probably went through just like us!

I've had the whole 'you need to let her cry' tonight from my sister, all I did was go and put her dummy back in her mouth as she won't settle when she's put up stairs without it until she falls into a deep sleep. I got really wound up about it and preceeded to ignore my sister on facetime by washing up until she said she had to go a few minutes later. XD I'm sorry but we know our children best and should be able to do what we want when we want without being questioned about it or having to justify what we do. 😤
